We’ve selected a few of the latest new geographic, host and species records for plant pests and diseases from CAB Abstracts. Records this fortnight include a new insect pest, Cyrtozemia dispar, on peanut in India, the presence of the entomopathogenic fungus Pandora neoaphidis in Argentina and the first record of Tuta absoluta in Tanzania.

Records this fortnight include the first report of Fusarium maize ear rot caused by Fusarium kyushuense in China, the first report of Tobacco streak virus infecting pigeon pea in India and the identification of the pathogen causing black rot in sugarcane.

Records this fortnight include a report on the abundance and species richness of leafhoppers and planthoppers in Brazilian maize, the first report of root rot caused by Phytophthora nicotianae in avocado in Cuba and the first report of Konjac mosaic virus in elephant foot yam in India.
