Plantwise shortlisted for OECD development prizeThe CABI-led Plantwise programme has been named as a finalist for the OECD DAC Prize 2015. This award recognises organisations taking innovative approaches beyond the pilot phase to wider application. The OECD Development Assistance Committee’s objective is to “acknowledge development actors who take this step: from supporting innovation, to using it systematically and strategically to address development challenges by taking it to scale.”

As a programme now working in 34 countries, this shortlisting is also a recognition of the efforts of all the Plantwise supporters and partners – over 168 worldwide – who make this innovation approach a reality in policy and practice. Together, the programme has reached almost 4 million farmers with the plant health information they need to lose less, and feed more.

The final award winner will be announced on 09 March at the OECD headquarters in Paris.
